Life is like a box(ed) pair of Nike Cortez
Nike Cortez – Sneaker Year: 1982 – Discontinued

Great timing as Forrest wears them as he sets off on his cross country run (literally). Maybe these classics help Forrest Gump run so fast?
Nike’s very first track shoe, the Cortez, is gifted to Forrest Gump (Tom Hanks) by Jenny Curran (Robin Wright) in the OG White/Varsity Royal/Varsity Red colour scheme, before he takes a ‘little run’ across the country.
The Cortez is firmly set as a classic in the Nike catalogue, seemingly never unavailable in some colour way or another, the Cortez has become a cult classic in more recent years being sported by many a celebrity.
